Merry Christmas, Darling

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope your holidays are filled with all the joy and cheer that you deserve! Every year I do a few Christmas caps, one of them is always my favorite of the bunch, the one I know will get the prominent "day of" spot, and this was the first one I wrote this year and the first that I knew was going to get the top spot! I hope you enjoy it!

A Christmas Carol

Decided to do a twist on a classic Christmas tale, although I think I can hear people's reviews already: "Not enough Muppets!"

The Three Wise (Wo)Men

Let's see, I've done one about Santa, are there any traditional Christmas figures I haven't worked in a TG caption yet? Hmmm...

I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus

Merry Christmas season, everyone! This is a bonus cap, because as I discovered this week, I made this caption last year and posted it as part of Rachel's Haven's 25 Caps of Christmas 2021... Except because of how hectic things got at the end of the month, I never posted it on DA or my blog, so I revamped it to clean it up a little bit and fit my current style and I figured this would be a good marker for the start of this year's Christmas festivities! I'm planning on posting every Friday (as has been the norm) save for the week of Christmas Eve, in which I'll be saving that post for Saturday. This was going to be part of those caps, but I already had two more caps earmarked for the next two weeks and Christmas, and since it's technically a year old, you're getting it early!

State of the Art Starlet

This one I knew was going to be related to Norma Jean Baker, but I wasn't sure what the premise was until I saw a Westworld parody.

My Super Spells 'R' Us Sweet Sixteen

Happy Thanksgiving! Unfortunately, I do not have a Thanksgiving themed caption, or even a Black Friday themed caption, but I've got one for another occasion!

Got this idea based on the photo, and since I always have Spells 'R' Us on the brain, the funny title was too good to pass up!

I'm So Thankful

A bonus cap for this week because it's Thanksgiving and this photo is so very Fall-themed and I desperately wanted to use it!

An Attempted Escape (myother12 Tribute)

Back when I first started capping, I did some tributes to caption artists who I'd spent years following, but naturally I eventually ran out of my favorites (or those whose styles I felt I could emulate) and while this concept would usually work better as a proper trading caption on The Haven, I felt that it didn't quite fit that, given that I try to ensure that those captions are all in my usual style, as opposed to aping the style of the one I'm giving it to. Hence why I used myself as the subject and a name from myother12's preferences as the other transformee. But that's enough gabbing, I hope that you enjoy the caption!

Your Big Secret

Decided to keep it ambiguous with this one, what did Brad and Liam do? Who knows! But given Brad's behavior, I imagine he deserves whatever is coming to him.

Care To Explain?

RIP to these gals but I'm different. If I had a friend with a tendency to piss off a witch I would simply stop hanging out with him.

Summer of '77

A capback for Courtney Captisa over on the Haven, inspired by both the photo I found on Pinterest, and a caption challenge Courtney recently gave to Dee.

Her Most Intimate Fantasy

A capback done on Rachel's Haven which is slightly more adult than my usual caps, but I felt it was a fun challenge. I'd fallen in love with this photo but couldn't work out a scenario until seeing this user's preferences, after which it came naturally. (Also you might notice a familiar name in this if you've remember my Halloween story from last year/are keeping up with this year's Halloween story)

The Girlfriend Experience

Another quickie, although significantly longer than the first one, this one I saw the picture and the story just came to me. I'm not super thrilled with the title, but it's serviceable.

Always Read The Wash Instructions

Or don't, whichever you'd prefer.

In between the recent string of trading caps, I found some images on Tumblr that I wanted to try writing quickie captions for. Enjoy the first one!

Welcome to the Estrocola Side of Life!

A capback on the Rachel's Haven forum for myother123 who recently joined the captioning game and is amazing and deserves some love, so go check out their work. If you like my stuff, then I bet you'll love their stuff as well! Plus, I've been dying to use this pic for ages, but I didn't get a story for it until I saw their preferences!

Retro Day

It might seem strange, given that we're at the point of "Back to School" to do a cap set more towards the end of the school year, but I don't control how my brain interprets the photos.

Miss-Taken Identity (Finale)

Well, that's a wrap folks! I'd like to give a hearty thanks to everyone who enjoyed this particular series and hope the ending is as satisfying to read as it was to write. Initially it was just the first caption that was going to be the finale but I felt that Sophie's parents deserved a little bit of revenge and happened to have a perfectly suitable photo for it, so I took the story to the natural conclusion. My only regret is that there are more photos of the individual models alone than together so I wasn't able to show Sophie in either of these, but that's what happens when one uses pics of models from a decade ago.

Part 1

Part 2

Miss-Taken Identity (Part 2 & 3)

Had these two captions sitting on my hard drive for a while, so I decided to brush 'em off and complete them. There's probably one more part to this but I haven't finished it yet, so we'll see.

Part 1

In The Name of the Moon

I suppose it's not an entirely unique idea, but with a premise like bodyswap at an anime convention in Rachel's Haven's most recent caption contest, I couldn't resist. (Also yes I know that Sailor Jupiter didn't get her powers from the moon...)

Body-Switching Ray

A short vintage image inspired one to try to get back into the swing of things. I'm trying to write another bodyswap based cap so I thought this might help my brain work through it. We'll see what happens!

It's Your Funeral

Bit of a darker one, I figured to counterbalance the sweet one from the other day.

Anything For A Friend

The things we'll do to help a friend... I've been around lurking, but that inspiration, she is a fickle mistress, but I've been toying around with some stories as of late so all this time in between captions and stories might not be for naught after all! (Also I'm surprised I've never used this as a title for a cap before...)

The Same Two Guys We've Always Been

Managed to squeeze out a caption for the June contest over at Rachel's Haven which was "Reality Shift At The Pool" and while I did technically make this the hot tub, you can see the pool in the background of the image, so it still counts!

Didn't Think

Realized that I haven't done any "spying on the sleepover" caps in a while so I decided to rectify that!

Why Can't It Be Both?

The inspiration bug hit again when I went through my (very small) folder of .gifs I have for TG caps. This one was fun to write because I left a lot of ambiguous details so that the reader might form their own ideas as to the nature of events, and I think I used the source material to its fullest. My only apology is for the size of it, I upscaled the .gif a lot but it was really darn small so I did my best.

Taken Care Of

I live! Or at the very least I'm back for this cap! Writer's block is a helluva thing, folks! So don't expect me to be making captions with the frequency of how I have in the past but I'll be bouncing around every once in a while, but I'm still around checking notifications and checking out others' works. That being said, I've been dying to use this image for a while, I always knew the story would be "Attempt to fake break-in goes wrong" but didn't work out the details til I wrote it out today.

Maybe the '90s Weren't All That

Another entry for a contest over at Rachel's Haven, this one I really had to force through my writer's block for, since today is the last day to enter, so I'm not thrilled with the formatting, but I'm glad I got it out because the theme was "Possession through a trip to the past/future" and that's a concept ripe for the capping!

Have A Nice Trip!

Another vintage image based caption, this one really spoke to me for a TG cap for some reason.

Auto-Dresser Aftermath

So my output hasn't been great lately, I've just had a lot of writer's block so I don't want to promise anything but I hope it'll clear up soon, but just so we're clear, if I was ever going to stop producing captions and stories, I wouldn't just vanish off the face of the Earth, I'll be sure to let you know ahead of time. This and the next one I release are ones that were finished in the text stage that I finally formatted into a cap, and as you can see, I went back to my old font cause I figured going back to basics might help in relieving the writer's block. We'll see how that works out later though.

Chemical Reaction

Not super thrilled with the title for this one, but I was glad to get an entry out for the March edition of the Rachel's Haven caption contest this year, this one's theme being "Twinning due to a chemical accident". Thankfully, unlike the last contest, I bothered to read the whole theme and got it right this time!

Strip Blackjack

This would have been so much easier to write if they'd been playing poker in the image... But since they weren't I decided to go with it, although I don't know if "strip blackjack" is even a thing.

Digitally Maid

The second of my maid-themed captions, this one the maid aspect is secondary because this was originally written as a caption for this month's contest over on Rachel's Haven, for which the prompt was "size change associated with or in the digital world" but after writing the caption and making it, I realized that I'd gone so overboard with the digital world aspect that I'd completely forgotten the size change aspect and couldn't figure out how to work it in (since I don't usually do size changing in my work) so I decided not to submit it.

Maid To Order

Got two maid-related captions incoming for you, this one is based on an idea for a longer-form story I had but could never quite work out the fine details of making it believable. But when I saw this photo, I realized it fit pretty well and the magic was born.

History Project

Looking at it now I'm not sure if this is a '60s or '70s outfit but I already committed to the premise, so I'm sticking to it!

And Twins!

Anybody else remember those Coors Light commercials with the twins? I wasn't old enough to drink when those ads came out, but I really enjoy the song anyway. Happy Superb Owl Sunday to all who celebrate it!

And since I'm referencing a song technically, I'll copy another TG captioner and put the video down here!

Final Report Card

Been working on this one for a while but I couldn't figure out how to make the formatting work until now.

Step-Brother's Secret

I can't see what she's doing on that laptop but I bet she's browsing Fictionmania or TGStorytime, right?

Making The Best Out Of A Bad Situation

I debated adding a sentence at the end stating that Lana knew about his dressing up and wished that her husband/boyfriend would just admit it to her, but I think it works better without it. What do you think?
