Anything for a Date: Interactive CYOA Caption

I've been cooking this one up for a while. Not quite as impressive or expansive as many others of this genre, given that I got my start contributing to CYOA stories, it only makes sense to integrate that into my captions. And for this one, I've got six options to choose from. What would you do for a date with the girl of your dreams? Without further ado, enjoy!

 Choice 1: Edgy

Choice 2: Studious

Choice 3: Graceful

Choice 4: Cute

Choice 5: Sporty

Choice 6: Ditzy

Elf Improvement (A Mallbrats Caption)

Got this as a suggestion when I sourced some Christmas cap ideas and decided to tie it into Mallbrats (maybe the South Parks Mall might become its own universe?)

New Story: Home for Christmas & Some Musings

Three and a half years ago, just about when I finished writing the first entry in the "Mixed-Up" series, "A Mixed-Up Valentine's Day" I started keeping notes for other stories I wanted to write. Some were sequels, some were standalones, and some were for particular holidays. I've had a Christmas story on the backburner for a long time, but I never quite felt comfortable releasing it until now, because I finally worked out the story. I'm sure you don't want a long prologue, so I'll share with you the links to other places you can read the story, and then I'll throw my commentary after it. Enjoy!

Festive Scavenger Hunt

An idea of my own that I came up with after finding the photo, and it just screamed of the type of caption that totalditz would make, so I tried to make the type of caption that they would make!

Famous Last Words: Just A Trim

Anybody remember the motivational memes? Am I that old? Anyway, SteffiMarieChen used to do these a lot and I recalled that when I saw this picture but could only get two lines of a cap to come to me, so rather than my normal quickie, it's this! Hope you enjoy!

Jealousy

A trading cap for myother12 over at the Haven, which I uploaded with this description:

"A bit of a quickie, but the picture was screaming to be capped and it felt appropriate with your preferences."

Are You Ready For Some Football?

Stretching the premise of this being a cap for CourtneyCaptisa's TG Thanksgiving contest, but football is as much a part of Thanksgiving as turkey and I mentioned the holiday, so that ought to be enough. Regardless, even if it's disqualified, I had fun writing it, which is what counts, right?

Trailer Trash

Bit of a long one, I hope it's still readable. If not, I always put the text in the description on DeviantArt.

Hex Tricks

Made this for last month's caption contest over on Rachel's Haven forum... but didn't manage to finish it in time, but wanted to post it anyway. Any similarities between this and "Can You Bring Me My Purse?" from my anthology "Adventures in Miss-Fortune" on writing.com are entirely deliberate.

Embellishment

Another one for Courtney, although this one is based on her own prompt where a young guy lies on his resume to pose as an older woman for a job.

Girl's Night

Made this one for Courtney Captisa!Came out as a story before I found a photo to go along with it. And I couldn't resist a cameo!

Always Pay for Quality

Just a quickie inspired by a photo I found on Tumblr. I plan on posting there slightly more now, with DeviantArt showing that they don't want TG fiction writers around, having already taken down Courtney Captisa and myother123, plus the violation I got last week, so I'm trying to diversify myself.

Wasn't Her Type

 Dennis, they're lesbians.

Check out my Tumblr, which seems like a bad idea given their track record with "adult content" but we'll see how that goes: https://www.tumblr.com/vthunder42

Mafia Informant to Mob Wife

This one actually started out years ago when I saw a set of stock photos where a model was both an architect in an office and a bride, but I lost the photos so never wrote the story down. Until now!

Shoplifter

Trying something different with the layout with this one. There was a lot of white space and I wanted to utilize it instead of adding a text box. What do you think of this? I probably won't do it often, but it's a fun experiment.

Fifties Fugitives

A classic premise, one I'm sure has been done hundreds of times. But now it's my turn!

Academy Tales: Do You Even Lift?!

A brief aside into the Academy universe created by the incredible myother123

Saw this image and it immediately felt like it belonged within that universe. With apologies and many thanks to the original creator, and I hope this doesn't offend.

Final Report Card: Lack of Punctuality

A return to the "Final Report Card" universe that I created ages ago. Always meant to do another one! Also, see if you can recognize a partial inspiration for all the names in this one!

Dress Code

With summer approaching, men are facing their most fearsome adversary of the year, having to wear pants in sweltering temperatures. Of course, the dress code only says how long the skirts have to be, not who is allowed to wear them...

The Extra Mile

Similar in theme to "Forgetting Something" but distinct enough to warrant its own cap I think.

It'll All Be Worth It

Saw this pic on Tumblr and it immediately spoke to me. Or should I say, whispered in my ear?

Only When It Was Funny

I wanted to get an Easter caption done and I was hoping for a more traditional bunny, but unfortunately, writer's block is back with a vengeance and none of the images I found sparked anything. Except this one. Go figure. So I did a little quickie for the upcoming holiday, hope you enjoy it!

The Slumber Party Spy

Borrowed the title from an old story of mine from writing.com, but the actual caption has nothing to do with it, in fact I took my main inspiration from the fact that the brilliantly talented Lauren Bliss has returned and brought not only a brand new story, but one of their old stories back, a story that was one of my chief inspirations for writing TG fiction, it's called "A New Look At Life" and if you read it, I'm sure you'll find a lot of familiar elements. This one harkens to an old story that hasn't been restored yet (hopefully) called "Slumber Party Trap" and "Slumber Party Trap: The Next Generation" both of which I adore.

Mallbrats

A trading cap I did for friend of the blog, Not2BriteCaps that features at least a few passing references to a certain '90s film.

Where There's Estrocola There's Hospitality

A quickie Estrocola cap that pretty much came to me the moment I saw the original image. Ah, the halcyon days of college pranks... Also a continuing entry in my quest to use every single Coca-Cola slogan of all time!

The Family Portrait (Parts 4 & 5)

Sometimes I write captions and then forget to attach them to the images and forget about them. This is one of those times. There might be another part after this one, but it'll probably just be wrap-up if I manage to get the inspiration bug for it. Thank god for models having big portfolios cause this one had a dearth of images to choose from for all manner of scenarios. (See the previous ones under the cut!)

Pals vs. Gals

A special Valentine's Day caption harkening back to classic trash reality TV, inspired somewhat by Courtney Captisa and our Bro-Fishing collab. Also, was going to call the show "Bros vs. Hoes" but I figured that a network wouldn't actually use that name and wanted to stay true to the concept. (Also, like always if any other captioneers want to play with any of the "universes" that I create, have at it! I love seeing alternate takes on my ideas.)

Also, today marks three years to the day that I wrote/published "A Mixed-Up Valentine's Day" which was the direct corollary to me becoming a TG captioneer, so happy anniversary to me!

No Lies... Nearly

Kept it a little ambiguous as to whether this a brother/sister thing or a boyfriend/girlfriend thing, but I think it's more fun that way, since you get to decide what the relationship between these characters is.

Family Day Picnic (Finale)

It's finally here! The final part of this veritable saga! Check under the cut for the rest of them for your reading convenience! You might be wondering, "What took so long?" And the answer is writer's block, and also I forgot I'd completed this one and thought I still needed to finish it and had writer's block, but turns out it was already done, so here it is! I know it's not what everyone expected to happen, and it won't satisfy everyone, but it's where the story organically went for me! Sue me, I love a happy ending!

Lost & Found

Decided to get a little meta and play with what was originally a pretty stock "Lost and Found" plot.

Be Careful What You Wish For

A trading cap for a friend over at Rachel's Haven, that I made ages ago and forgot to post, and a title that I'm surprised I've never used before!

Chess Club

A trading cap for Ashlee of Not2BriteCaps. If you can't read the text, the DeviantArt posting will have the text in the description!
